Import Other System Const. ID with Order

Hi everyone,

I am working on an order import and am not having any luck adding the outside system constituent ID to the records.  The attribute is defined in my order import set.  The order import itself is successful.  The import process log recognizes the import set criterion that names the attribute, and at the end it says "Import Account ID added as attribute to constituents' ....but it's not there!

The attribute is set up in T_KEYWORD according to documentation and for the most part matching the rows for Alternate ID.  The data type and edit mask are set to Number.   The keyword and all customer types are associated in TX_CUST_KEYWORD.  When I try to manually add it as an attribute in the customer IDs in question, I am able to do so.

Has anyone has this happen before?  Thank you!

  • Hi Martin,

Thank you for this tip!  When I initially set it up, I had values in there.  I eventually figured out to clear them and got the System Table row correct, so when it still wasn't working I opened a support ticket.

And, turns out I was hoping for functionality that doesn't really exist.  I had constituent IDs from our db already in the import file.  If those are specified, the import matches based on customer_no.  The attribute of outside system ID is only inserted if the utility is trying to match customers on that column, and cannot, and therefore creates a new Constituent.  I had hoped it was an icing on top sort of thing.

Maybe this discovery will help others banging their head! I think I will add these as attributes anyway... but it would be a cool addition to the existing utility, for sure!
