FLEX Seats Fluctuate?

Hello,

Does anyone sell a FLEX package where the seat # can fluctuate each concert? Trying to arrange programming that avoids a second step of "adding seats to a performance", just get it all in one step.

Thanks,

  • No, I appreciate that. No fluxuation. Just want to bundle different number of seats per concert into one FLEX sub in one fell swoop.

    Hi JD,

Do you mean that the seats in your facility physically change? We have a facility that changes configurations for every production of a particular season in our consortium. If this is the case, I am glad to chat. I may have misunderstood your question. Perhaps you could elaborate a little?

    Cheers,

  • Hi JD,

I believe the answer is No.  The reasoning is based on the assumption that package tickets are sold to specific people.  The idea being that the same person or persons are using the same season ticket for each performance in the package.

So, if a package is made up of three performances, perfs A, B and C, and the package is bought by two people, Jon and Karen, then you have two people to three performances for a total of six tickets.  This is a package sale which meets the assumption of a season ticket.  If then, however, Jon and Karen say they actually need a total of three tickets for performance A because their friend Sharon is joining them for that one night but not the other nights you need to process that extra ticket as an additional line item and not part of the package.

Adding flexibility to the flex package to include a choice of number of tickets per show in addition to the choice of shows is a good idea for an enhancement request.  I would vote for it.

  • Just curious if anyone has any updates to this? We are branching into flex packages next season and would love the option to allow patrons to buy, for example, two seats to one show, one seat to the next, and three seats to the next. My testing hasn't shows it to be possible, but here's hoping.....
