While I have navigated similar questions to this, and the varied methods used, I am wondering if anyone has a solution for creating a 'fixed seat flex package'. Sounds strage I know. We are wanting to develop a create your own series package, whereby we begin with a 5 pack subscription in same seat and alter it to a 3 pack by simply deleting performance lines under the subline tab. We are looking to create a fast turnaround during the transaction time. The solutions we have explored include:
1. Flex packages (which are non-renewable) and therefore not ideal.
2. we cannot delete performance lines under the subline tab until the order on a full subscription is paid in full at the 5 pack price. So this is not working either.
3. We can create individual 3 pak subscription package codes, but with the amount of performances we have, the combinations are endless. Very time consuming.
4. We have not tried selling flex packages into a dummy performance to be printed and exchanged into real performances yet...so not sure if this will work well, given our desire to complete the transaction quickly. Also not sure if this will enable a rollover into a full subscription next season.
Curious about what works best for everyone...any suggestions, comments greatly appreciated!

Hi Carolynn,
You can set up a limited choice package, where the Min Perfs is set to less than the number of performances in the package. That allows you to delete performance line items (on the Line Items tab) from the package (you just need to check the Pkg Details box so you can see the performance line items).
For details on setting up a limited choice package see the Package Setup help topic.

Hi Kevin,
I will certainly have a go at this again.
Thanks so much!!
If I run into issues, can I email you back without charge, or is it better to post on the forum, where everyone can benefit.
Cheers!

Hello:I have this documented from a build and reporting perspective in the 'Extreme Subscriptions' presentation from last year's conference.
Please feel free to email me offline and I'll be happy to send you the powerpoint document.
Kindly,
