Disabling Price Zone for specific performances in FlexPack

Hello,

Long time reader, first time posting.

I'm trying to figure out how to disable Price Zones for specific performances that are part of a Flex Pack.

So the regular disabling of an unavailable Price Zone in a Price Map/Price Type wouldn't work as it would disable those Price Zones across all concerts.

Thanks!

  • Hi-
One possible quick fix is to apply a 'hold' to the zones you don't want sold.  At the very least, it would keep the zones from showing up online.  It would then be up to your staff (who might or might not have access to those holds) to not sell those zones.

It's not perfect, but we've used it for specific zones on specific packages.

    Best of luck!

  • OK that's great, thanks Mark...would you happen to have a link to the documentation on how I can implement these holds?

  • Hi Again:
The easiest way would be to go to Season Manager / Season Maintenance, call up the season and the package.  Go into 'Hold Code' tab, then hit the 'view map' on the right.

I would strongly suggest reading the documentation before doing anything in LIVE. There isn't a terrible danger, but it would be good to have a solid grasp of the tool.  Also-if you have a test system attached to a test web environment, I'd urge you to do this in a test system first.

The 'quickstart instructions' (assuming you've now read some of the documentation, again on principal) follow:

Choose your 'hold code' from the drop down, choose your seats, save the changes.

Then change to the tab on the right "Apply Maps to Groups".  If there are any current holds on your maps, then choose 'apply above holds'.

Again if you hit 'help' anywhere in there, you'll see the documentation.  It's totally worth taking the time to read before doing any of this process.

Please feel free to give me a call directly if you have any questions. My contact information is on the profile page. Wishing you all the best with this.

    Kindly,

    Mark
