We are currently setting up our group tours in Tessitura and are running into a few problems. We want to assign docents to each tour. We currently run consecutive tours on the ½ hour for as many as 100 in a group. The docent’s name needs to stay with the tour time. We offer 12 different tour types.
I’m overwhelmed as where to start. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I assume you’ll be running this through the ticketing module, not the contributions module, given the forum.
This sounds to me like a perfect place for a custom screen at the performance level. The field could be an InfoMaker object that would allow you to insert the docent’s customer_no into a local table that would hold customer_no and perf_no and display the docent’s name onscreen as well. Ideally, you could refer to the same local table from the docent’s account as well, with a custom screen there that would be read-only and let you see what performances (tours) the docent was signed up for.
Another option would be to set up your docents as artists under ticketing setup, add a role of “Docent” to the Title screen for your tour performances (with a voice part of Spoken), and populate the role at the performance level.
Either way, you’d need a custom report to get the docent to appear on a report you can use—but this would not be hard to add. I personally would heavily lean toward the first option of the custom screen, because then you’re tying an actual constituent, your docent, to a performance.
