We've never populated "Limit" when inserting offers. We'd like to create an offer that does enforce a ticket limit.
My question is, when updating ENFORCE_SEAT_LIMIT_FOR_ORDERS in "T_Defaults", what happens to existing offers since, when inserting offers, the default on "Limit" is "0"?
If an entry in "Limit" is "0" does it then not enforce any ticket limit?
Just want to be sure I'm not breaking existing offers before I go and update that table. Thanks!
If your offer is tied to a promotion code you should be able to go into the performance's MOS, and add the limited ticket offer there. that way you're not touching the ticket limits per order on a global scale, you're only setting the rules for that performance, and for that promotion code offer.
This can also be achieved en-mass through Season Maintenance.
I hope that helps.
My question is more, if "Limit" is set to "0" and ticket limits are then enforced via T_Defaults, is that "0" truly zero, or is it an indication that no limit will be enforced?
We have many offers via promo codes out there for many, many performances so I'm trying to gauge if turning ticket limit enforcement on in T_Defaults is a non-issue or we'll have to go through and adjust all existing offers since they were orginally set up as "0".
