Selling Contributed income events

From time to time we have fundraisers that we wish to offer for sale via our web sales channel.

I would like to know how other organizations are doing this.

  • Hi Robert:
Can you give a bit more information regarding what you're trying to do?  Not sure if you're selling a performance with a contribution component, or an auction of some sort.  I might be able to help you with the former, but not the latter.
A rough framework of what you're attempting might prod others into sharing.
    Best of luck,

  • Hi

An example would be a Poker Fundraiser, you purchase a ticket to go to the fundraiser but all of the money received is considered a contribution. Therefore development needs to report on it as a contribution and we can not include any of the sales of tickets to the fundraiser in our sales reports

  • First Stage has worked with our web developer to do just that for our wine event: http://www.firststage.org/Events/WineEvent/ - online orders are processed directly as contributions using the correct appeal/fund/etc.

Katie Doral (kdoral@firststage.org) is our in-house contact for the project.

  • Thank you Patrick – I’m cc’ing our internal Tessitura user group.

Therefore you did not setup anything in the production elements and just used the contribution api with the correct FUND attached
