ADA Web Seating Self Disclosure

Hello Everyone,

We are very close to having accessible seating available on our website and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share the verbiage you use on your self disclosure pop up. No need in reinventing the wheel here so, post away. :)

We have this language on all of our “Select Your Seat” pages – either best available or select your own seat

Wheelchair Icon Wheelchair/Companion Seats: These seats are designated for individuals with disabilities who require a wheelchair space, their companions, and third parties purchasing tickets for accessible seating on behalf of individuals with disabilities who require a wheelchair. If this seat was purchased fraudulently, the ticket buyer will be subject to investigation and relocation.

Additional Seating for Patrons with Disabilities: Strathmore has aisle seats with moveable armrests for patrons who wish to transfer to a fixed theater seat. The Concert Hall also has chairs without arms to be used in the boxes for patrons who request a wider chair. Seating close to the stage is available for patrons with visual impairments. For any of these seating accommodations, please contact the Strathmore Ticket Office at tickets@strathmore.org or (301) 581-5100 or via Maryland Relay Services for MD residents at 711 or out of state at (800) 735-2258. We strongly recommend all accommodation requests be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the performance.

THEN if we see there is a wheelchair seat in the cart, before they get to the check out page, we have them click through this:

    Hope that helps.

Did anyone ever respond to your question?

Several of us have similar disclaimers.  You may want to try the purchase path and just exit prior to submitting a credit card.

Sites that I know have wheelchair access tickets on the web are:

    http://www.kentuckycenter.org/SelectYourOwnSeats/9561#tab-select-seat-link&screenID=1

    http://www.arshtcenter.org/tickets/calendar/syos.aspx?id=11182

    http://www.scfta.org/ticketing/tickets/reserve.aspx?performanceNumber=9459

Several of us also alert customers at a few points in the purchase path.

    Good luck!

    Nicole
