Changing Base Price

Hi all,

Can someone tell me if it is advisable or not to change the Base Price Map in the Base Price Type after going on sale?  I have inactivated the Base Price Map because our Prices are changing and added a new one.  But I am wondering if I should now check that Price Map as being "Base", or leave the old one marked "Base" - for reporting purposes.

    It depends on how you are handling your Gross Potential and if anyone is quoting the Base Price from your seat map as being your ticket price.  I usually make the increased price may Base Price until it is time for settlement and then I change it to the original price for GP purposes.
