Hello!
I tried searching the website but only found this discussed over a year ago so I'd like to see where everyone is with it. Do any of you use Tessitura on your ipad? I mainly want to use it to get up to the minute sales reports for meetings, look at seat maps while i'm in the theatres and look up orders while I am away from my desk. I definitely do not want to run transactions on it.
How would I load it on to the ipad? I noticed the 2x Client has an app, would that work?
Please let me know if you have any ideas!!
Thanks!!!
Hi Jessie
I use Tessitura on iPad but I log on to remote server and then use it without any trouble. I've only download and app for Remote Desktop Connection...
Hope this helps.
cheers, Varsha
Hi Jessie,
Yes, this is very much possible. I used to connect to Tessitura through a Remote Desktop Connection. I was able to do the same thing on my iPad by downloading an app that can use the Remote Desktop Connection. I believe there are several apps but the one I used was called PocketCloud. It gives you full access to Tessitura but can be difficult to navigate using your finger. It should be fairly easy to run reports in meetings.
Best,
Chuck
Is anyone connecting to Tessa on an ipad with RAMP? Is it possible?

Actually, it is possible with RAMP, they don’t support it, but my Devo department is using Tessitura on an iPad through RAMP connection. They are prompted for their token passcode code and RAMP said as long as that happens, it’s ok to use it. They just don’t support it if there are any issues.

Hello All!
Thanks for your input! This morning I downloaded the 2x client from the app store and it has been working great. You log in the same way through RAMP with your OTP etc. The only dificutly i've had so far is trying to add/delete holds but I think i've figured that out too.
Janna, you can find the 2x client in the app store and you can just use the information in connection properties to get it set up.
Thanks again everyone!!
Great, thanks. I had assumed that was possible but it is good to know that other people are using it as well.
Janna

Its great that people can get Tessitura running on an iPad. We may try using Citrix Xen Desktop. However, what is peoples experience with using it on a tablet? I get the impression that it could be quite difficult to manipulate a seat map and some of the controls might be a little bit fiddly with a finger. Has anyone experienced this, or found a way around this?
We currently use the native vpn module which is part of the IOS and it has worked perfectly for us (our VPN is being handled by a Cisco router). Then we use a RDP app to connect to local computers from the IPad. We do experience some issues with controlling Tessitura with our finger tips but it’s manageable- I don’t see a way around this.
Thanks,

Hi, I just got this to work on my iPad. I went to the App store. Downloaded the 2X client and filled in the blanks and viola!
Tess said they never really tested it, but it works!
Our House Managers have been using Tessitura/ 2X on an ipad this season to check on seats/ seating issues with great success. We have an older ipad (2nd generation.)

Hi everyone,
There has been some discussion about trying to have a table at the box office counter where the patron can see the seat map for a show and choose their seats. I'm not seeing how this would work and honestly, I'm not a fan of patrons seeing out backend. I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has put this into practice.
Thank you!

This is interesting. I want to have a kiosk downstairs that would allow patrons to purchase single tickets. An iPad on a stand would be perfect but I'm not sure how that would be setup. What software do I need to have a live connection to Tess? It would be nice to also use for a seating chart but I wouldn't want an iPad just for viewing a seating chart.
I have 2X from the app store on my iPad and it works fine getting me to Tess.

I also successfully use my iPad for Tessitura, we are a RAMP client so it's just the 2X client and connecting with the token in the usual way. However, we've not been able to print any tickets from the iPad. Has anyone been able to do this?
