Good afternoon,
In the process of updating/upgrading to Version 11, we've come upon a small stumbling block.
We've got users, with less then ideal eyesight and we are having a hard time finding a nice balance between the Application Scaling (in tools-preferences) and Seatmap Font Size.
We've can't change the screen resolution too much, because the users, don't see the data well, and touching the DPI doesn't really do much.
When we bring the Application Scaling down down so that the orders Order Details screen fits on one page, (roughly 82%) the Seat Map shrinks with it. (we can only up the seat map font size, so much before it becomes to large, and requires us to scroll up and down, something we are trying to avoid).
What we want to happen, is the orders tab/product catalog to appear on one screen, without scroll bars (as large as possible) and the seat map -- to appear on the screen (to fill the entire screen out - as much as possible).
Did/Does anyone out there have similar issues when using or testing version 11?
Much obliged & Thank you
-Lisa Rudnitsky
What resolution/font size is Windows set at that requires you to set scaling at 82% to see the whole order details screen. That should be perfectly visible at 100% scaling unless your Windows screen fonts are not normal sized or you are using a very low resolution monitor. (below 1024x768)
Hello,
The settings we had for our box office, as well as other users, were 1024x768. We tried to adjust it, a little but until we pushed the resolution settings up to the highest possible 'monitor resolution for each monitor, we weren't able to view the seat map/order screen at 100% as you mention above. So we realized, per monitor the resolution has to be at the best possible setting, for the tessitura v11 order screens, to appear at 100% and the seat map then can be scaled appropriately.
While this does resolve the 'seat map' issue we are having, this causes one major issue for our users. It 'shrinks' the icons on the desktop as well as everything else. Not all our users have eye sight at 20/20 and now they have to squint a bit to see the icons, but tessitura does now appear at a good size. This isn't the ideal solution, but they are now able to work in version 11 easier.

Now that we understand the resolution settings, with tessitura version 11, we've come across one other small conundrum. In version 10 tessitura -- at 100% sizing, the 'black area' or 'seat map' area if you will -- fits more across the whole screen, where as in version 11 the 'black area' is smaller, even at 100%. Changing the font/seat map sizing only changes the data (the seats themselves) within the 'black screen' and doesn't affect the seat map size as a whole.
Is this intended behavior, or is something else wrong?(I have screenshots, if that helps, but I'm not sure how to insert them here).
I hope my explanation is clear, and thank you for your responses,-Lisa Rudnitsky
It's probably best to open a support ticket if you're having display troubles. You can attach screen shots there. In v11.0.4, you should actually be able to see more seatmap container (the black part) than you could with v10 running on the same monitor.
