Print at Home Ticket Design

Hi there,

We're new to Tessitura and are in the process of setting up our print at home tickets. I was hoping to get some samples of what other organizations are using as their header and ticket template.

Also, do you have any tips for "do's" and "don'ts" or best practices? These are the ones I've seen thus far:

  • Use system fonts rather than custom fonts for text
  • Keep the file size of the template as small as possible, around 100 KB (250 KB max)
  • Limit the use of graphics and use reduced color and resolution
  • Set the length of barcode fields about the same as the length of barcodes on ticket stock

Thanks for your help!

  • Hi Nicholas,

Just wanted to say that I like your “We hope you enjoy the show” kind of message on your tickets. I’m used to seeing advertising all over PAHT so was wondering if this is something you have seen other companies do?

    Thanks,

    Courtney

    Hi Natali,

Here is an example of our PAHT: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Community/members/nicholashudsonellis2615/files/ETICKETEXAMPLE.pdf.aspx

    Some tips we have disovered:

    • Place the relevant information in the middle third because customers fold it like a letter.
    • Make the ticket number very visible for staff to manually enter when the scan fails.
    • Make the layout similar to the regular hard ticket layout to make it easier for staff to find information quickly.

Good luck, having PAHT is so cool, our patrons and staff loooove it!

  • Hi Courtney,

I'm glad you like our PAHT design, so do we :)

I have seen many other PAHT designs include a great deal of partner sponsorship materials, as well as detailed directions to the venue, but none with a simple ticket and greeting, although I am sure they are out there.

Our exhibition PAHT is a bit busier, as it includes the logo from the exhibition, to match the Boca tickets. You can see that here: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Community/members/nicholashudsonellis2615/files/ETICKETEXAMPLE_2D00_EXHIBITION.pdf.aspx

    Best,

    Nicholas
