# of Performances in a report

Hello,

Here at Arizona Science Center we have IMAX perfomances that have 3 or more shows daily.  At the end of the month we have to settle with IMAX and one of the current needs is # of performances.  I was asked if there was a report that would tell him how many shows we had that month instead of him counting them line by line.  My work around is to import it to excel and count the rows, but if there is a report I missed I'd love to report it back to the IMAX settlement people here.

Sandra, e-mail me directly if you want to set up a time to look at how we set up our Omnitheater performances here at the Science Museum: rbernard@smm.org. We have had no problems with scheduling regular Tessitura reports to fulfill daily film distributor reporting requirements. I’m on PTO this week, but will make myself available if time is an issue.

Thanks to everyone for the input.  I will have to rethink how I create the IMAX shows if I want to report with the performance listing, but since we have another show starting soon I might have my chance to rebuild the shows the way we need.

    Heather,

Oversimplification, pour moi? That’s a great idea: I don’t use the Performance Listing much and it definitely answers the issue, as that’s how we set up our performances. I will still need reliable, old T-Stats because I need a monthly report broken down by the Production, usually we only have one film on screen, but a few times a year we have multiple films. We also built a custom cube so that we could get analysis by time: e.g attendance at the 8pm shows for the month vs. LY. Thanks for the tip; it’s why you’re one of my Tessitura heroes!

This might be overly simplifying what you actually need, but if each of these are set up as separate performances in a particular season (and there aren't other shows in the season, which might be the sticking point) you could run the Performance Listing report under Ticketing Box Office for a season and date range and then just look at the total performances on the last page.

I imagine what you need is more complex than that, but just in case it isn't!

We do as you do: export a TStats report to Excel and count rows.  We'd be interested to hear about any non-custom alternatives.
