Hey Network!
I need some of you sage advice. We have a really big lecture, where the VIP tickets sold out instantly. We're thinking about making use of our Opera Boxes as a package where you'd receive pre-lecture private reception with the author (or a dinner somewhere nearby without the author), a signed copy of a book, and of course the Opera Box seats.
Way before I came to the organization we used eBay to have people bid a similar "special experience package" on eBay. It worked and everyone was happy. Now I see that eBay is partnered with StubHub (which, personally, I think is a little on the skeevy side, but it's been 3 years since I last looked at their re-selling habits), locally a lot of sporting events are listed.
From a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Tessitura-using organization standpoint: is this a good idea? Has anyone had an experience like this recently?
Thanks everyone!
