Hello,
We are exploring providing our audience with the chance to earn Frequent Flyer points when they purchase tickets with us.
I think I've got it in my head of how the setup could work, but would love to hear if anyone else is doing this?
Beau.{Melbourne Recital Centre}
Hi Beau,
While I didn’t do frequent flyer points, at one point I’d investigated teaming up with a grocery store to offer loyalty points/benefits. There were a number of plus/minus things to think about (the org. eventually opted to not do it), but there were definitely some lessons learned. Happy to chat offline if needed…
Cheers,Kathleen

Hi Beau, I have explored the redemption of points for tickets but found the mechanism for contributing to the scheme to be more complex. Be great to chat offline about it.

No kidding, a topic very similar to this came up at our organization just today. Would love to chat with any of you about your experiences, either at TLCC next week or electronically.

Thanks for the feedback!
Daniel - we would make redemption through the airlines website / systems, so they can track points usage etc. We wouldn't offer specific shows to purchase for - just issue a type of Gift Voucher using details the airline provides to us.
Patrick - I won't be at TLCC, but would love to talk electronically. For earning points, we were thinking of a Ticket Order Custom data field for their frequent flyer number. We could then run a scheduled report to the airline that gives the name, postcode, freq flyer number and $ spent of sales for the day. This method means it could be done online pretty easily too :)
Beau.
Thanks! It sounds like the conversation here was centering around taking the “frequent flyer” idea and turning it into our own program – i.e. a membership/points system that we operate and is tracked in Tessitura. If anyone out in Tess Land has experience with this or ideas, I’d love to connect!
