We have a Friends Membership scheme. Once someone has donated £40 they become a friend and are eligible for discount tickets. The membership adds a flag to the customer record.
How can I enable a members to get access to a discount pricetype online without issuing a promo code?
Essentially I'd like customers to log in online and have that log in be the trigger for access to the pricetype.
I've read through a lot of the forum items and online reference materials but can't find how to do it.
If anyone could point me in the general direction I'd be very grateful.
Simon
Hi Simon
The way we handle this is using rankings and Modes of Sale. We use rankings to control levels of membership. Therefore when a customer with a particular rank logs in to our online booking page, the mode of sale is changed to a mode specifically to them. This means you can handle which price types they would see by having the specific ones available only in that MOS.
We have two levels of membership which trigger two different modes of sale. You would have to still set them up in Offers on the event page though if you need to control number of tickets purchased. We have one membership which covers two tickets, and another for us to six.
This is probably some work for your web team but very achievable
