Odd behavior with intelisense

Hi,  I was wondering if anyone else had come across a strange thing we're seeing in the SFO Box Office.

Occasionally when a user is entering orders, the auto population of drop down boxes using the Intellisense-like ability seems to stop working.

For example, lets say I'm entering a new order, and I want to select a performance code of "XYZ-12345"   Typically a user can type in "XY..."  and then boom, the input box autopopulates with the closest match.   However sometimes, and for some users, it occasionally stops working, forcing the user to have to type in the entire field, or scroll select the value from the drop down list.

Has anyone seen this type of thing in Tessitura before?  It seems to me that its possibly a Windows issue,  my guess is that Tessitura is pre-populating a recordset in memory, and then after awhile, for whatever reason, that recordset disapears.

I would love to hear if any of you have had similar experiences.  Thanks!

  • I've seen that happen any number of times. It usually happens because of an aborted attempt or a mistaken keystroke. I have either deleted the line and added the line again or hit the back space in the field (even though there is nothing in the field, yet) and started over again. When I've observed these hiccups, they've always been fleeting and momentary.

Well.. this is happening for hous at a time,  everything appears to work normally fo the user for a few hours, then at some point during the day,  the intellisense no longer works.  That's why my theory is that Tessitura is somehow losing the recordset after awhile.
