In List Manager, what is the difference between the Subscription Summary parameter and the Subs Summary Season parameter?
Hi Jana,
I don't see a parameter titled "Subscription Summary", I see a folder called that which is where the "Subs Summary Season" resides. Is this maybe a custom parameter you have?
Yes, you are correct! I meant criteria, not parameter.
OK, so you should have a folder called "Subscription Summary" that contains various criteria, if you have an actual criteria named this as well it is most likely a custom criteria. If this is the case you can right click on the criteria and get details about what table etc. it is using which should help you track down the differences between the two or you can post that information here and we can try to help with that.
Cheers!
Let me clarify. In List Manager, there are criteria folders on the left. I would like to know what the difference between two of folders is...Subs Summary Season and Subscription Season? Help me!! Doesn't anyone know?!?
Okay, yes Ryan, you are brilliant! I was not being at all clear before. That worked, but unfortunately the descriptions didn't alleviate any confusion! First of all, Subs Summary Season is under the Subscription Summary folder and Subscription Summary is under the Ticketing folder. The Subs Summary Season description says "The season on a subscription summary" and the Subscription Season says "The season on an entry in the subscription history". There is also something that says Detail Tbl and for Subs Summary Season it says vs_cust_subscription_summary while the one for the Subscription Season says lvs_sub_hist_dcpa.
So one says summary and one says history, but what is the difference and how do I decide which one I need.
Thank you so much for all your help, too, by the way!

I think what Ryan tried to convey is that the standard installation of Tessitura does not have two criteria folders one named Subs Summary Season and one named Subscription Season. There is a standard folder called Subs Summary Season and this pulls data off the subscription summary table which appears when you click on Subs Summary in an order. The standard installation of Tessitura has a folder called Ticketing which contains both single ticket and subscription ticket criteria. These generally run off of the ticket and subscription history tables. There are several differences between the two, but the most obvious is that criteria Subs Summary works off the order (sort of) and can let you pull information about newly rolled over / non-paid or seated items and the criteria in the standard Ticketing folder is not as immediate (depending on how your organization populates the history table) and depends on the order being seated and/or paid (again, depending on your organization rules).
If you have a folder called Subscription Season, it has been created by your organization for a reason hopefully known by your colleagues in your organization.

It sounds like you are talking about criteria not criteria folders.
In the Subscription Summary folder there is a criterion of Subs Summary Season. This looks at the season on a constituent’s subscription summaries, which you look at by pressing the Subscription Summary button on the Orders tab of a constituent record. Each constituent has one subscription summary per each season in which they buy a fixed seat package.
In the Ticketing folder there is a criterion of Subscription Season. This looks at the season on entries in a constituent’s subscription history, which you look at from the Ticket History tab of the constituent record. The subscription history is customized a little at each organization but generally has one row for each package a constituent purchases and can include flex packages.
