Monitoring real time capacity attendance on Ncsan

Hi,

In the near future we have an all day event which customers will visit for a few hours and then leave. We use Nscan but cannot find a way of showing a real time attendance figure on the units in either monitor attendance or seat availability. The figure for attendance does not reflect those customers who have visited and left. Does any one have any ideas on how to achieve this?

many thanks

Lindsey

  • Hi Jonathon,

Thank you for this information. Our system analyst, Simon Davidson, is going to take a look at this. He feels that it is very much a good solution to the problem so I do appreciate your input.

    Kind regards

    Lindsey

This could work, but it would take some customization.

Scanning someone out doesn’t change the default “Attended” seat status (as far as N-Scan’s concerned, once you’re there, you’re there), so front-end reporting, including Season Overview, won’t show the attendance figures changing in Tessitura as you scan in and out. However, exit scans are tabulated in an N-Scan system table (LT_NSCAN_ATTENDANCE) along with entries, so you could create a custom report to balance exits against entries.

    Hi Lindsey,

What if in addition to scanning tickets as people enter you also scanned tickets as the visitors exited? Would that give you the data you need to monitor actual availability?
