Ticket orders printing

OK so when we batch print for a performance we want to print the entire order and not just the seats in that show...

We have a multi day festival and would like our patrons to pick up their ordered tix all at once at theeir first event.

Currently the system will only print the show selected, is there a way to make it print the entire order when included in the single performance selected.

To recap if we have performances a-z and want to print all the hold at will call for show a, but want it to include their other performances included in the orders....

How do we do this?

Thanks

  • Hi Zach,

We have the same situation and what we do is run the ticket batch on a List.  In List Manager, we create a festival batch list, with the following criteria together in the top pane:

    1.  Ticket season "in" the festival season
    2.  Ticket date "between" today's date & today's date (by today, I mean the current day of the festival - the date on which people will be picking up the tickets for "today's" events and future festival events, if they have them)
    3.  Ticket Seat Status "in" Seated, Paid
    4.  Generate the list and/or make it dynamic

This gives you a list of people with tickets to events on one particular day of the festival.  You will have to go in an update the ticket date info when you batch tickets for each day of the festival.

Next, go to Batch Ticket Printing, and create a new Festival Batch as follows:

    1.  Specify the festival season,
    2.  Include an order date range, if needed
    3.  Select whatever header you want
    4.  Select your festival list
    5.  Click on Preview

This should give you all of the festival tickets for people who have performances on the date you specified in List Manager, but you need to be careful about printing.  In the print preview, you'll need to put the tickets in order.  We click on the Customer Name column header and then control click” on the Order Number and Perf Code column headers.  The goal is to group all festival orders for a constituent together (in case there is more than one), and then to put the events in chronological order, but you may have different perf codes from ours, or some other consideration, so I'd suggest experimenting to see what works for you.

    A few notes of caution:
    • people often skip a performance or 2, so if you have more than one ticket pick-up location (as we do), be prepared to sort through will-call boxes after each event starts, and to have runners taking tickets from one location to another.
    • sponsor & media tickets can be tricky.   For us, these orders can be big, bulk orders that multiple people expect to pick up at multiple locations.  We tend to identify these orders up front and figure out a strategy.
    Hope this helps!  Catherine
