How does the Credit Card Advanced Search operate?

Hi all,

Does anyone know how exactly the credit card search option operates in ‘Advanced Search’?

It used to be that when you typed in a full credit card number it would only pull up exact matches. Now it pulls up like matches. From this, I thought perhaps it as that now it only pays attention to the first and last 4 digits so I tried that but got completely different results. The results did match the first and last 4 digits I expected, however the original 3 results who should have also been in these results weren’t.

I vaguely remember this function changing with PCI but I can’t find any info anywhere or remember how.

Cheers,

Tash

You can search using the last 4 digits and this will return all the cards with the last 4 digits that match. Then you look under payments area to which account matches the first 6 numbers as well.

If you do know the full card number you can still enter the full number too.

    Cheers

    Hi folks,

Just bumping this back into view!

How do you search for constituents via their credit card number now that we only see the first 6 and last 4 digits of the CC?  I have tried wild carding using % and * and ______ but nothing is returned.

The help system isn't clear on this!
