Error in Open Event Rowscopy. Business Units versus Control Groups

Hi, we are trying to set up a shared Season of performances between the National Theatre and our sub licensee Greenwich Theatre.

So far both sides can see the performances but when Greenwich (consortium) go to purchase the tickets, an error message occurs: 'Error in Open Event Rowscopy: Contact System Administrator.' When you click OK, it takes you to the payment screen but there are no Payment Methods available to Greenwich.

We can see and purchase everything on our side. I assume that this is a Business Unit issue?

We have separate control grouped Price Types and Payment Methods and are hoping to be able to sell from the same seating plan but without seeing each other's information. Do we need to create a whole new shared Business Unit? Or can we get around this through Control Grouping?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Laura.

  • Hi Laura

We have one business unit across our consortium and this works really well.  We tend to control group everything so this hasn’t been a problem.

We have manage to have three of our consortium organisations selling off the same seating map with no problem using standard control group functionality on seasons.  One of the things we have done is setup a shared control group for any seasons that are used by multiple organisations.  All other information is organisation specific.  So we create a separate set of price maps and price types per organisation.  Separate payment methods and modes of sale.

If you want to chat through the setup I’m happy to do so! Just give me a ring.

    Thanks

    Nick
