We're converting to Tessitura. We currently have Datamax printers. Should we stick with those or switch to Boca? Does it make a difference?
Thanks,
Scott
Congratulations! The bad news, I think only Boca’s will work; the good news, we’ve used Bocas for many years and are very happy with the reliability and durability. They also have very good product support.

If I remember correctly, we switched completely to Boca because the bar codes wouldn't appear properly on the Datamax, but I'm not 100% sure. The Bocas (Bocae?) that we have are mostly well-behaved.
Having in a past life (pre-Tessitura) tested Boca and Datamax printers side-by-side, my own experience has been that there are differences in FGL between a Datamax and a Boca printer, particularly those commands involving formatting and masking. The Network has standardized around Boca and its interpretation of FGL; the ticket design commands will behave as documented when sent to a Boca.

Thanks all for the input. We went with Boca. Our two test printers just arrived!
