We've got some people in our organization interested in finding out if anyone out there is currently doing Tess ticketing through an iPad and using a USB credit card swiper to finalize the transaction. And...if you are...would you be willing to share some of the process and or successes/challenges? We currently are close to going live with a phone App, but this would be different.

Hi Jeremy,
We have a VPN connection app that connects to a PC desktop and we're able to connect to Tessitura off that. We only use this for offsite events where we don't have guarantee of internet - we have the iPad with 3G. The challenges with the iPad is that it can be pretty slow at times and the VPN connection sometimes freezes (I don't know if that's specific to us or a problem with the app). Also, It does take getting used to. I have some Ticket Reps who absolutely hate using the iPad and others who have no problems with it. I believe we've even been able to print with this set-up.
