Allocations allocations allocations ...

Hey All!

So my box office and I are trying to put together a special deal online using an embedded promo code that gives patrons access only to a select set of seats (this is a pre-sale and we want to protect inventory to complete subscription requests). My box office has put together the allocation (with the selected seats) and linked it to our single ticket events online (which is what the deal applies to) and also tied it specifically to the appropriate promo code (which also gives the patron 15% off the ticket price).

All seems good on the Tessitura side of things, until we test it out ...

The promo code works and 15% off is applied, but we don't end up seated in seats within the allocation (for example, we've allocated seats in Section II and III to be purchased online, but Section I is still showing up). While we carefully surveying the knowledgebase and recounting our steps, does anyone have any inclination as to where our error might be here?

THANK YOU!

  • If you are trying to do this with your normal Internet MOS that may be the issue.   You would need to create a new MOS that was used for this promotion and only has access to the specific allocation code.  Then use the TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO table to switch the MOS when someone enters the promo code.  Those patrons will see the restricted seating, but anyone purchasing tickets without the code will still see all the usual seats.

If you created a new price type for this promotion that you haven't used before, you should also check to see that your Web user has access to sell that price type.
