Inventory Management and Demand Pricing

Does anyone use Tessitura for Inventory Management to determine on demand pricing?  We are looking at changing prices as demand for a show increases or decreases.  Does anyone else do this?

  • We instituted demand pricing for three of our productions this past season with great success and with very little issue from the patron. We increased prices as much as 300% in side sections based entirely on percentage sold in prime sections (which you can do when a section is as low as $10 or $15). On a smaller stage we simply flat-priced the house and brought weekdays up to weekend prices. So yeah, essentially if the demand was there, we increased prices.

Many Tess users are doing this, so I am sure you will get other good replies.
