We have a few seasons coming up where we will need to ticket a free event for a GA area and actual seats. What we ideally want to do is have the event built in tessitura (all free tickets) and whether it is a ballot or a competition to win or what, we want to obtain the constituents information on Tessitura, place the free tickets against their account and have a record of the event that they came to see. Therefore increasing our data base at the same time (unless we already have their account)
Secondly, we want to Ticket ‘non ticketed events’ such as free talks to an exhibition (this can be hard to monitor as our exhibition space is open and anyone can really walk by and view the exhibition – no point having the talk somewhere else wither as it is about the exhibition.. Currently constituents just ‘rock up’ to a talk. We don’t have a record of who attends, if they have been there before, if they come to see a show. A waist of knowledge – we have people coming here and we don’t know anything about
Has anyone actually ticketed something like this before? If so how did you go about it?
Anyone run a free Ballot or competition for the GP and ticket a free event before ?
