Ticklers for Hold Reminders

I've been asked to set up ticklers to warn specific staff members that any unclaimed holds they may have for an upcoming performance are going to be released.

These ticklers should remind them 3 weeks prior to the performance.

Because of the dates of the performances, I don't think I can set up a cyclical tickler reminder to do this so it's going to have to be a manual thing. Which I've come to accept. (Just lock the office door, crank some tunes on the iPod and get it done...) :)

However, looking in tickler documentation I'm realizing that ticklers have to be connected to a constituent record. Yes? Is it possible to just attach them to a performance instead of a constituent?

Our staff members do have constituent records so I could assign them there if needed. Just wanted to find out if anyone else uses ticklers for this and how it's working for you.

Thanks!

  • Could you just have the people in question schedule the hold code report for themselves, and set the parameters with relative dates?

They'd get the report daily, possibly blank if there aren't any perfs with the holds in question however many days out, but they could use the report as the reminder instead of a tickler.
