Hello Everyone,
I'm writing today to see if any of you sell "season tickets" they way we do. Here at First Stage, we actually do not use the preloaded options for the sales of season tickets. Our packages are VERY flexible and really the only parameter we have is that they need to purchase a minimum number of shows to get the subscriber pricing. After that, it's pretty much free game, and we want it that way. They don't have to have the same number of seats for each show; they don't have to have the same day for all shows; essentialy, they can totally customize their subscription to their needs.
We are looking at rebuilding our website and are wondering what, if anything, you all do for this type of "subscription". We want to use the builder/flex option in Tessitura but it seems that it's limited to the same number of seats for every performance. We want to make this as easy of a purchase as possible for our patrons so we don't want them to have to "add" seats for any show without a guarantee that all seats will be next to each other.
Any ideas on this would be very helpful as we progress along on our new website build.
Chris
We are still fairly new to Tess so we don't currently have subscriptions available online.
But we do have a "Sampler Pass" package similar to the one you described. Essentially, the customer purchases coupons (a minimum of 6) that they can redeem for virtually any show in the season in any combination they choose (they can use 1 coupon per show or buy 20 coupons and use them all towards one performance).
The way we built this in Tess is we created a fixed seat package that was attached to a GA facility and has one "performance" attached to it. We would sell them the subscription using the number of seats as the number of coupons they wanted. This would assign them seats in the package and we used the seat row/number as their coupon number. When they want to redeem their coupon we go into the original order, return their coupon number (in the performance... not the subscription... this way they can Rollover next season with the same number of coupons) and we book the performance they want.
It's nice to do it in one order so we can see how many coupons they've redeemed to what shows. So when they call we don't have to dig around to find out what happened with their coupons!
Sorry I don't have any website info for you regarding this package. Which really is what you were asking for. I guess I just wanted to share. :)
