Best Seat Map

Hello.  Our Ticket Office has a question to throw out to the forum:

We are transitioning to a scaled house. We only have the best available functionality on our website, not select your own seat. In the performance set-up you can only select one best seating map, so I am wondering if that means that that I still only create one best seat map for the house and it is up to our website functionality to look at the best seating map and then ignore the seats that is not in the chosen tier?

What do you think?

  • If you select a price zone before you best seat, the best seat function only looks at seats in the selected price zone.  It still respects everything else about your best seat map, though, within that price zone.  For example, if within one price zone you have three different best seat zones, it will still progress through those best seat zones according to how you set them up.

  • Hey Stuart -

I can't remember exactly what Meany Hall looks like, so this might not apply to you guys. But just to add to the mix if you have the same scaled zones but in different locations that you want people to be able to select (i.e. Scale A in balcony and main floor) and you want people to be able to choose to sit in the balcony (or loge or side or whatever) vs main floor/center/etc you'll have to build separate price zones for those to show up. Take a look at here:http://www.seattlerep.org/Buy/Tickets/?perf=B121SU3M&select=section

to see an example of what I am talking about.

    Good luck!
