Print all perfs in pkg except one?

We have a pkg set up right now and one of the productions in the pkg is still in flux, so we're intending not to print tickets for it (as opposed to printing a This Is Not A Ticket ticket). But we are printing tickets for the other perfs in the pkg.

The sub mos has the Printing box unchecked for all perfs of the show in question. I thought that would prevent those perfs from printing, even if the box office selects Print Order, rather than just printing specific sublineitems.

Am I wrong about how that setting should work, or is this weird?

I think that is just how it works, unfortunately…

I have some events that are not ticketed in some of my packages, but it prints tickets for them regardless of them being unchecked on the performances.

We waste stock, but that’s the way it goes…

  • That's a bummer. And I'm assuming lack of any Tessitura staff chiming in confirms that it's supposed to be that way?

  • How about this:

Create a blank ticket design (literally...nothing on it). You can apply that temporarily to the price types for the performances in questions. It shouldn't print anything for those.

BUT..if you have a lot of price types or performances, it could be a bit of a pain.

As always, try it in test. But it should work.

  • I like that idea...except we'll probably waste a lot of stock. I guess we could technically reuse it since it'd have nothing on it, but they'd end up not connected and sort of a pain to load... Hmm...

I'd also worry the box office would stuff the blanks in with the actual tickets accidentally and then we'll have a ton of phone calls from people saying "hey some of my tickets are blank". But I guess that's just as much a training issue as remembering not to print the whole order. Thanks for the suggestion. Definitely something to consider.
