I’ve used Tess via iPad with both LogMeIn and terminal services, and have had pretty much the same experience as everyone else. It’s nice, and cool, but if you’re doing really in-depth stuff it’s better to have a mouse. For the record, the best terminal services connection app I’ve found is called PocketCloud – there’s a free watered-down version and the full app costs something like $15.

We just got an Acer Iconia w500p tablet which runs Windows 7 Professional and comes with a keyboard dock.I've got Tessitura installed on it and it seems to run very well. Best part is, it's a windows based tablet, so no jumping through hoops.
The only real con I can see is that it is a little on the heavy side comparatively.
