Is there a way of attaching a default original source to either a security group or a mode of sale ?

The only one I'm aware of is for the Web in T_DEFAULTS. But I could be wrong!

I'm also looking for a way to set this. By mode of sale would be good.
It doesn't make sense for box office guys who are entering ticket sales all day to have to select original source as "Ticket Purchase" every time!
thanks, Dara
Dara,
Do you have the box office MOS set to "Clear Source"? Having this check box selected causes each new order to begin with a blank source number. If you don't have that box checked each new order will begin with the same source number that was used last time. This means that you only have to enter the source number on the first order and then you can continue the rest of your sales session without having to worry about it again.

Hi,
Sorry about delay on reply on this.
Thanks Jared for info. That works great for the source on the order screen, but its the "Original Source" on the constituent record that I'd like to set to default.
e.g. For all box office orders the original source is "Ticket Purchase". Its very repetitive for the box office guys to set this for every new customer they create.
thanks,
Dara
hi
did you ever find a solution to this?
its so annoying and repetitive
thanks

A couple years later, has anyone come up with a solution to have a default original source? We're looking to partner with SeatGeek and want to have any new to file customers added with a default original source of SeatGeek but can't find any way to do that.
We do have a unique MOS for them, so can do some updates in the back-end after the fact but would really love to have a default.
Hi Michelle,
It isn't within Tessitura, but when we integrated with TodayTix, I asked them to set a specific original source for each of the new constituents they created in our database. That way we don'[t have to worry about updating those accounts ourselves.
I wonder if SeatGeek could do something similar for you.
Dorothy
Hi Dorothy,
Yes, TodayTix does ask us to create a new original source for them. We just met with them after I posted this today, so I'm sure SeatGeek could as well.
Thanks!
