The Science Museum sells open-ended vouchers to be exchanged in the future for tickets for specific performances. We currently handle this by selling from a performance on the last day of the month, then redeeming under a specific price type-reason codes. I'm thinking of changing the process and am wondering how other organizations sell these. I am leaning towards a payment type, similar to how we sell and redeem gift cards.

Hi Ray,
We have something kind of similar at Yale Rep - a season pass that customers purchase at the beginning of the season and then can redeem for tickets throughout the season.
We use gift certificates for these passes, along with some heavy customizations to allow customers to redeem online.
