Changing Prices by seat

Hi all,

We have been dynamic pricing by zone (we have four different zones) for awhile but are interested in getting more detailed with it on a seat level. For example- on a Saturday night we might want aisle seats within our Premium Zone to go up even higher in price. Is anyone else doing this, and if so how do you set it up? I've thought about using price types or Flexible Pricing, but I don't know how to make those work online. It seems like to make it work automatically, I'd have to apply a different zone map to a performance which won't be possible after sales have occurred.

Any thoughts on toggling individual seat prices would be appreciated!

  • You could also use layered price maps...I love them and use them all the time. You would just create a new price map with the price increase in the applicable zones. Make sure you don't disable the zones you aren't increasing because it will disable the price full stop, a zero value price increase works. Then you layer the price map and set your dates. When that date comes around your price will automatically increase!
