Hello Everyone,
Sorry if this is the incorrect forum for this question but I was just wondering if anyone knew if we could put the credit card type (VISA, MC, AMEX, etc) on the credit card receipt or if only the last 4 digits of the card number can be on the receipt.
Thanks for your help.
Christopher
Hey Christopher,
We do use both of those options. For the credit card type; we use Data Group: Orders/Data Element: Payment Method Abbreviation. For the last 4 numbers, we use: Data Group: Credit Card/Data Element: Last 4 Digits of Card No.
Hope that helps.
Bill
The less you put on the receipt the better. If it is a MC then you know more about those four digits. I don't think that you would get in trouble with PCI compliance but with PCI compliance I take the attitude that less is better!

Thanks Dave. I am in the process of updating ticket designs and just wanted to make sure we were in compliance.
