Opening Night Procedures

Hi all,

We are currently exploring some new options from a procedural side using Tessitura to manage opening night invites/rsvps etc...

The question we have is how do other Tess users categorise their opening night invite lists?  We are looking to streamline how we consolidate our Master List and we're trying to limit the categoires we have ie By Department/VIP/Development etc..

Any thoughts/procedures/ideas you have to share would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Aoife & Kate -

We categorize our lists loosely by "department". When I say loosely, we categorize them by who needs to look at the list and make sure it is correct. So we have the usual suspects of Marketing, Devo, etc. We also have "Artists" which goes to our company management to look over for each opening night.

The only other odd ball thing that we do is we have a special open night list where we group 'outreach communities' that we invite on a more specialized basis. So when we were doing 'The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs' we utilized people on our 'Technology' list of our Outreach Community opening night list.
