I was wondering if anyone knows how to check on a gift certificate that was posted by a venue. Our Tessitura issued gift certificates are allowed to be used by out patrons at the venue where our performances take place. I don't have access to their posting reports. My finance department is asking for the name of the patron and the gift certificate number used for the order. The only thing I have have is a posting report summary.
Do any of you have any awesome and creative ways you can find this information. There is the packaged gift certificate report, but the gift certificate number is required to run the report (which is odd to me). There must be some way to get a report of gift certificates used and purchased without having to have the numbers.

In addition to the Gift Certificate Details report there is also a Gift Certificate Listing that does not ask for the gift certificate number. You might have better luck with this. It allows you to set a date range and it will output the numbers of the gift certificates that were used that day along with the beginning and current balance, and constituent name.
You can't narrow it down by Production or Performance, but if you run it for just that one day and you know the amount used it will hopefully get you close.
I hope it would also be OK for you to ask the venue for a Transactions by Posting report. This will give you transactional details and can be limited right down to the GL and transaction type so you can see what you need to see without also viewing the venue's other activity that might not apply to your organization.
