Hi Everyone!
I'm fairly new to Tessitura and still figuring some basic things out.
We've had some issues with our reps accidentally returning tickets from concerts which have already passed, creating a nightmare for Finance! Is there a way to disable returns on past concerts?
Thanks!
Angela
I think if you make the past perfs off-sale, I'm pretty sure it will be impossible to return them, and it will also be impossible to sell them, which I'd assume is also desirable?
Thanks Amanda, you're right.
I thought the end dates on the price types in Production Elements would be sufficient. My mistake!
Price types respect the order date not the current date, which is usually super useful but I can see how it'd throw you off in this situation.
Hi Angela,
As far as end dates go, I believe (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) that when you are in the original order the end dates for price types, MOSs, etc. are referencing the order date and not the current system date, thus allowing you to sell/return anything that has yet to expire according to that order date. Now if we are primarily talking exchanges and your policy is that you do your exchanges within a new order, then setting the MOS to expire by the end of the performance day should be sufficient since this should lock off those past performances from sell/return.
Cheers!
Edit. Amanda beat me to the punch, but YAY confirmation!
Would you be willing to share your procedure for taking things off sale? We are looking into setting something of that nature up here and I must confess myself as somewhat new to this area of things.
Thanks,
