We are looking at a way to allow a group organizer to set up an order for x amount of tickets and provide that organizer with their order number to give out to the group participants to call or go online to purchase their tickets from the order. The catch is that we want to capture all of the information from that individual (so create a new file or use their existing) and create an association to the group file, as well as keep a master list on the group file of all the participants so that the group organizer knows who has paid and who hasn't.
Is there anyone out there using custom screens or anything else to track group sales and allow individuals to purchase tickets off of a group order?
Michele,
We are looking for a similar set up ourselves. Groups sales put a lot of bums in seats, but it can be difficult to capture their information!
I believe Tennessee Performing Arts Center was working on something like that for the web… they presented about it at the 2009 conference: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/tlcc/2009/4-D%20Redefining%20Groups.pptx.
