Hello,
Has anyone ever run a system through Tessitura whereby customers pay a certain amount of money upfront and then spend it throughout the season on whichever shows they like?
We are a College and would like our students to pay a specified amount at the beginning of each term (at the same time as when they pay their course fees) and they would be entitled to 'special' student price tickets.
Once they have spent the money we have allocated against their account/record, that's it. They can book further tickets using the normal methods but would have to pay standard prices thereafter.
Not sure if this is something we could do on Tessitura? Any advice welcome!
Thanks,
Laura

Hi Laura,
When I worked at Royal & Derngate we used to do this by issuing gift vouchers I think. It was a while ago though so probably best to check with someone there!

As Sarah has said, we do this by gift voucher, but depending on your setup, it’s always possible to have money stored in an on-account payment method that can be used. I’m more than happy to have a chat if you want to contact me offline!
Cheers,

There several ways to handle that either by creating a special gift card or money on-account (perhaps a separate “student ticket” on account payment method) are the two ways that pop into mind

Management wanted us to make a subscriber "voucher" up so that people could be a subscriber without actually commiting to the events in advance.
We made an on account payment type of " Subscriber" and buy a dummy package to link the "subscriber" constituency to.
