Limiting Payment Methods

I seem to recall seeing this somewhere before but searching for it today I am unable to locate the source.

Is it possible to limit the payment methods available in an order? Either by MOS or some other criteria.

The situation is that when box office workers are entering orders from phone calls or walk-ins, we don't want them to see web based payment methods.

Is this done through user groups? Or somewhere else in the setup?

Thanks.

  • Levi,

I do it through user groups.  I have a user group for the web that has the web payment methods assigned and then all other user groups have different payment methods assigned.  Hope that makes sense!!  :o)

    Hi Levi
User group security is the way to go. Your proxy web users are the only ones that need access to the web payment methods, I would assume.

  • It is on the user groups. We have it so only the web user group (and thus only the web user) has access to the web payment methods.

  • Hi Levi,

Payment Methods are enabled for User Groups, in the Security Module.

The organisations in our consortium that have different payment methods for the web have these enabled for the web user group, and the payment methods used via the application are enabked for the Ticket Sellers user group.
