Displaying Prices Online before on-sale

Hello Tessitura gurus!

Do any of you display pricing online as a part of your show information (i.e. not just during the seat selection process)?  I'm asking because we would like to include pricing in our show information prior to the actual performance being on-sale.

Currently we manage this through Web Content (the Content tab inside Production Season), but since that's just a text field, we run the risk of incorrect information if the show ever does dynamic pricing.

So, currently we say "tickets starting at. . . " or something to that effect.  But if anyone is trying to see how much our top price ticket is before a major on-sale, they can't.  So, I was wondering how some of you handle that scenario.

  • Ours shows the range "from $X - $Y", but at the moment I believe it is also just a text field. If you didn't want to go just the "starting at..." route there's probably a good way to have it pull the min and max to create that sort of a phrase, but I know zilch about web programming so I don't know how one would actually do it.

  • We have a pdf of our season ticket brochure available for download.
