Does anyone have experience using Symbol MC55 or Symbol MC70 with NSCAN. If so what has your experience been.
I'd have to go down to the usher's room to check if we have the 55 or 70 (I think it's the 55 though) - anyway - that also contributes backing to what I feel - they are great - install and forget about it as I clearly have :)
We've not had a single issue with devices since the installation over a year or more ago.
Robert,
We have several of the MC55 scanners and use them with NSCAN….everyone seems to love them. We have 4 of the MC50 scanners and everyone tends to grab the MC55s because they like them so much better. Our experience has been great with them so far.

Hi, We have the 70's we are going to start scanning soon. So we have limited experience, but we did find that it is very easy to put them in the charging base with them not sitting correctly to charge. Also when we were doing our training we had a couple devices not work right with trigger handle. we swapped the trigger handle and the device around and they ended up working fine. Other than those two issues we like them.
Another thing we notcie after purchsing the expensive charging bases was that the NScan software could be installed from a SD card. So there was really a need to buy the more expensive charging bases.

We have used the MC70 for 2 years and are pleased. We have the hi-capacity batteries (a must) and pistol grips. The batteries all needed to be replaced after about 2 years of use.

Hello everyone,
We are looking at implementing N-SCAN possibly about late spring-early summer 2011. Our ticket takers currently are part of our volunteer pool, so most are 65+ years old. Are there any issues or recommendations that you have for one or other of the models around ease of use or training, weight of the unit, etc. that we should consider for this age set?
Thanks,
Duane
Hey Duane,
We too have an all volunteer corps of ushers who are up there in the age bracket, and the MC55's have been just fine. They are super light and really easy for them to use as they are quite small. Some of them did find it difficult to get used to, but it took no time for them to adjust. We are really happy with tthem.
Drop me a line any time if you have any questions.
Thanks Jennifer. As I mentioned, this is a project targeted for next spring so I'll check in with you as we get closer to the date. Much appreciated!
