My organization started using Price Zones as a way of creating caps on certain ticket types within the same performance. Example: our Art Start class has a Student price zone set at 20 seats and an Adult price zone set at 30 seats.
Because that class currently only has 1 QuickSale button, when my Front Desk team is on the phone with a parent whose asking if the class is sold out, they see the availability of both zones combined. For example, if we sell out in the student zone, but still have 10 Adult zone seats left, they will see the 10 on the QuickSale button for availability and assume its not sold out and then tell the parents to come.
To avoid this, they asked me to build a second button to separate out the two zones. I am trying to do that, but the only zone options in the button configuration drop-down are: Best Available, Prompt, Perf Day or Order Day. None of those do what I need.
Is there a way to do what I'm asking Tessitura to do?
EDIT: So I figured out I can do a Specific Zone on a Standalone Performance. The problem is all of the ones I need the specific zones on are all Performance Relative (because we run them once a week). Any ideas?
Change the Zone setting on the button to Prompt. This will show them availability by Price Zone. They'll also have to select a Zone before they can add price types.
Not as clean as I'd like it, but I guess it's better than nothing. The problem is I know my Front Desk team will not click on the button to check and will still rely on the number in the corner of the button itself.
