Hello there,
Have any of you had to change the number and arrangement of seats in a package facility before? We sell our seated subscriptions as super packages, one subpackage into our Mainstage and one subpackage into our Upperstage. The Upperstage is a 3/4 thrust stage.
Over the summer, we are upgrading the seats in the center section, replacing them with larger/wider seats. That means we're going to lose at least two seats per row. So I have some suppositions, and I'd love a double-check to make sure I'm correct.
* We don't want to continue using the current map as it is; even if I killed the seats, we would then always have 20+ seats that reported as not sold and for the rest of time, they would need to be killed
* Therefore, we will need to create a new facility map to use for this updated setup
* Would it be better to create a new Zone Map within the current facility or better to create a new facility?
* If it's better to create a new facility, I won't be able to do a Rollover, is that correct?
* If it's better to just make a new Zone Map, I could roll those who aren't affected and have the ticket office book those who are
* If they're booked by hand or in a new facility and Rollover can't be used, then patrons won't be able to access their renewal online, which we very much want them to be able to do
* If push comes to shove, either because all subs need to be booked manually or just those who need to be moved, I could possibly have everyone booked and then do the rollover from THAT, thereby ensuring that the reservations can be booked online I'm glad to have that as a fallback, but I'm REALLY hoping you might have another option or things I might not have thought of.Anyone do something similar? Anyone have any advice?
Thanks!
Molly
I would probably build a new facility since this is a permanent change. Tessitura documentation has options for managing a rollover into a new facility: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v160/TN-Application/Package-Administration/Special-Rollover-Cases.htmIf you opt to use hold codes, you can create a hold code map in facility manager that you then always apply to performances in that facility when you're building them. Killing the seats should remove it from your reporting inventory; if not, I'd check with your DBA if you have one, or submit a support ticket.
