Hi TNEW and Ticketing brains trust,
UKARIA Cultural Centre are preparing for our Tessitura Go-Live in less than one month.
Today we sat down to set up our donor pre-sale process which would be for a number of separate concerts which are not sold under a subscription or package offering but would ideally be booked in the one transaction. It occurred to the team that the continue shopping link which we would normally use to add more items to cart would direct our donors back to our what's on page where the pre-sale concerts wouldn't appear yet due to still being unannounced.
We had planned to make all the concerts available under a MOS switch prompted by an offer attached to each performance and we could then link directly to each event with the promocode embedded to prompt the MOS switch and allow access under this link.
Is there any TNEW venues out there that are doing the same sort of thing? If so we would love to know how you have done it as it seems that the use of Ranking to prompt a MOS shift or event offering is really only usable for a particular event or package rather than multiple events in the one transaction.
Thanks in advance!
Emma
Hi Emma,If I understand your scenario correctly, I would also suggest using a promo code/offer to trigger the MOS shift. You could provide donors with the promo-embedded link so that the promo is automatically applied and they only see the applicable events.Once they add a concert to the cart and click Continue Shopping, as long as the promo code is still applied to the session (which it should be) donors will only see the applicable events. Another thing I've done is create a message rule, so once an event is added to the cart, a message pops up at the top of the page inviting donors to "follow this link" to add more events. There is also a way to use keyword to narrow down what donors see when they follow a direct link. Here is a documentation page that might help.I hope this helps, and I'm happy to provide any further information.
