I've been researching the pros/cons of adding paypal (and/or venmo) as a payment method but the only discussions I see are 10-13 years old!
Does anyone have any pros/cons they can share about adding paypal and or/ venmo as a method of payment for ticketing?

We currently are offering Paypal as a payment method, but are considering abandoning it. We've had significant issues with payment errors, charge backs, and duplicate account creations because patrons are unaware of the email address associated with their Paypal account. We also incur higher transaction fees for our Paypal transactions and chargebacks compared to our other payment offerings. Also, I don't believe that TMS supports Paypal at this time. So, if you have migrated to TMS or are planning to do so anytime soon, you may want to take that into consideration. As alternatives to PayPal, we're considering focusing our quick pay options on Apple Pay (which we currently also provide) and Google Pay.
