Delayed PAH Delivery Language

Hi all!

We are offering print at home tickets for our symphony subscribers for the first time.  I am leaning towards doing delayed delivery versus delivering after the order is filled.  I am worried about the size of PDF, exchanges/returns, etc., if we delivery immediately after the order is filled.  However, if we go with delayed delivery, that is also different than anything we've done before.  I am wondering if anyone has language they share with their subscribers/customers on how delayed delivery works?  I would greatly appreciate it if you'd be willing to share!  Also open to hearing if you prefer immediate delivery versus delayed for subscriptions :)  Thank you all, as always!

  • I'm somewhere over the pacific so don't have copy and to be honest this year will be the first where we go out with delayed (prior to perforance) vs with order feom the subscription launch.

I think delayed is better for files size and email delivery (we have packages up to 16 productions) , customers having their tickets when they need them for the show, as a show reminder, in case of show cancelation.  Exchanges are also easier as there are less copies of incorrect pdfs out in the world reducing the number of customer mistakes showin up t the wrong performance.

There are a number of pdf size tips on the forums to get each template down to approx100kb. Your designer is your best call but reducing any imbedded images is worthwhile.  Adobe pdf Compress on ther website is helpful too.

  • Hi Heath!  Thank you so much for your input--I greatly appreciate it!  I especially appreciate you mentioning the Adobe pdf compress--I will definitely check that out!  I do think I'm missing a step somewhere when it comes to setting up the ETicket delivery--when I look in the MOS tab on my performances there isn't an option for that.  I thought I was on the correct version for ETicket delivery, but I might not be!

From what I've read it should be next to "End Date." Sweat smile
