Hello all,
I'm trying to figure out my first order import of data received from Ticketmaster, and while I have cleared SEVERAL hurdles, I keep getting an error message that says "Price type is not valid for the mode of sale." Full disclosure, I am using a new price type and MOS for this import, but I can sell a ticket in the client using the MOS/price type combination, so I know they're valid.
Please please help me.
Thanks,
Lesley
Hi Lesley,
Are you using TR_IMPORT_PRICETYPE_MATCHUP on that import? There could be a one-to-many problem if the incoming order is finding itself matched with more than one PT
Hi Heath,
The import has 2 price types - full price and comp. I have added the appropriate pricetype to the column in the import data. I do also have those price types in the matchup table, basically matching to themselves - import to import, comp to comp.
When you tried it manually in the client, was the order date in your test order the same as the order(s) in the import?
I've found this error can occasionally be returned if the line in the order import file has a seat range that crosses sections. We have found that sometimes, despite best efforts, TM sections (related to door numbers) don't always align with the setup in Tessi. My advice would be to always have your import file as one row per seat.
